Specialty Printing on Public Printers
Several public printers throughout the law school now have the additional option of a duplexer. A duplex printer allows for material to be printed simultaneously on both sides of a page, saving time and paper. The following printers have duplex capabilities: Lab A, Lab B, Alcove, and Hallway 8150 (the larger one).
In order to maximize printing efficiency, we are providing instructions for using the duplexers as well as instructions for printing two pages onto one side of paper (for as many as four total pages to one sheet of paper). These methods will save students time, paper, and money.
To print two sheets of paper onto one side of paper:
- From programs such as Microsoft Word:
- Go to File > Print...
- Near the bottom of the "Print" window, under the heading "Zoom" is an option for "Pages per sheet:"
- Select "2" and hit "OK"
- From programs such as Internet Explorer:
- Go to File > Print...
- In the middle of the "Print" window, click the "Preferences" button
- Under "Finishing", change the "Pages per sheet:" setting to "2" and hit "OK"
- Click "OK" on the main printing screen to begin printing
