Distinguished Panel to discuss Justice, Security and Controversy at Guantanamo Bay

A panel presentation and public discussion on Justice, Security and Controversy at Guantánamo Bay will be held at the Washington and Lee University School of Law on Friday, Feb. 1.

Co-sponsored by the Transnational Law Institute at W&L and the Virginia Military Institute, it will take place 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Millhiser Moot Court Room in Lewis Hall at the W&L School of Law. The event is free and open to the public.      

Distinguished officials and commentators will discuss key legal, strategic and ethical issues regarding the detention, interrogation, and repatriation of detainees in the war on terror, with an emphasis on individuals held at Guantánamo Bay.  Panelists' remarks will be followed by audience questions and general discussion.
