Undergraduate School: Washington and Lee

An education in law is an invaluable tool that can be used to approach many of the world's most controversial and difficult issues – whether that be poverty, national security or inequality. Having been an undergraduate at W&L, I knew that W&L would furnish me with skills to approach some of these problems. It provides an education complete with strong academics, exemplary opportunities for a school of its size and captivating professors.
Professor Adam Scales because he is as interested in the issue of federal preemption as I am.
The collegiate atmosphere of Lexington makes life comfortable and safe. I still believe the best view in town is from the field hockey turf field overlooking the campus and downtown.
I have become involved as an Honor Advocate for the Executive Committee and a Law Ambassador for the Admissions Committee. Serving as an Honor Advocate has been especially rewarding, for the program allows Law Students to use the skills they are learning to help fellow students exercise their rights. In addition, we are involved with seeing that the Honor System is able to uphold its goals for the community while trusting in the student body to do its part.
