Undergraduate School: Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo |
It was a combination of things: personal dissatisfaction with my undergrad major, the influence of friends who were in law school and participation in debate and student government in high school and college.
In choosing a law school, I was looking for a smaller school with a great program and great professors. W&L has more than delivered on that front. I haven't even been here two years, and I've already had the chance to work with two professors doing research for books and articles they are writing. If you're interested in a certain field of the law, you can seek out the professor who is an expert in that area and work with him or her. I don't think that opportunity is available at bigger schools.
Professor Murchison—He taught my American Public Legal Process class last spring. At the beginning of the very first class meeting, he somehow managed to connect Shakespeare's Hamlet to the topic of Administrative Law-and it actually made sense. That's a rare gift.
I can walk just about anywhere.
Three words: Law School Sports. For all who were un-athletic nerds in high school and college (which is 95% of us), this is your chance for redemption and glory.
