Some things you may not know about the Class of 2007 at Washington &
Lee University School of Law...
Extracurricular Activities and Community Service Achievements:
- Members of the Class of 2007 have
studied in Spain, Sweden, Italy, Thailand, England, Germany, Australia
and France.
- One student educated male
students on rape/sexual assault and guided peer discussion on rape
empathy.
- Another student was a donor of
peripheral blood stem cells for a cancer patient, and another started a
program teaching English to employees at a local Mexican restaurant.
Work experience, hobbies, and activities:
- Before entering W&L, several students worked as
paralegals and legal assistants. However, others had some unique
occupations, such as
an ice cream critic, interior/exterior
painter, novelist, adoption caseworker, and an investigation analyst at
the NYSE.
- There are 5 varsity athletes
in the first year class plus one brown belt in karate.
- Several students play the
guitar, electric guitar, bass, piano,
and saxophone
- The class is very active with the more creative
activities being
Kishi Karate, bowling, ultimate frisbee, and
equestrian.

students are SCUBA certified.
Majors:
- Political science was one of the most popular
undergraduate major
(26), with History (23), English (14),
Economics (13) and Psychology (12)
also well-represented.
- Some students received a B.A. or B.S in Theater,
Art History, Philosophy, and
Journalism.
- Thirty-four students earned double
majors. Eleven students have received a graduate degree.
